Achilles and ankle problems we see every week

Tendon and ankle problems respond best to a well-planned, progressive programme.

  • Achilles tendon pain. Pain and stiffness at the back of the heel, often worse in the morning.
  • Ankle sprains. Rolled ankles that are slow to settle or keep giving way.
  • Heel pain. Pain under the heel, especially with your first steps in the morning.

How we treat it

Tendons and ligaments need the right amount of load to recover, so your plan is progressed carefully.

  1. Assess

We assess the tendon or ankle, how you walk and run, and your strength.

  2. Treat

Hands-on treatment where it helps, and advice on activity and footwear.

  3. Strengthen

A progressive loading and balance plan to get you back to sport.
